One of my main goals for the trip was to see snow. I grew up in Florida, and I have never...ever...seen snow. Well, the day we left Central Florida it snowed in Daytona Beach! Can you believe that. On the same day it snowed in Virginia. So, we missed the snow in both places. I was so sad that I missed it.
We visited Knitting Sisters in Williamsburg on our first day. My hubby actually accompanied me in the store, and he seemed to have a good time. It is a very nice store with great selection, helpful staff, and cozy atmosphere. I would be thrilled to have this shop as my LYS. I picked up some Lambs Pride bulky, and some yummy Noro Sock Yarn!!! This stuff is seriously beautiful in person. I have seen it online, but I was hesitant about the colourways. In person it blew me away. Here is the ball I picked out.

It was very difficult to choose only one, but I want to knit at least one pair before I go nuts. The colors in this ball are so vibrant. I am very excited about casting on.
On our second day we went to Colonial Williamsburg very early in the morning. It is a very touristy area, but we both love it. However, we decided to go early so that it wouldn't be crowded. Little did we know that we would have it all to ourselves. It was so cold that morning (low 20s) that no one had ventured out to the area. Most of the shops were open so we got the full experience without a crowd. It was fantastic. Here are a few of my favorite shots from that morning.

It was a great trip. We had so much fun, and I hope we can return soon. I highly recommend the area!I have not had the chance to block my Feather and Fan shawl, but I am planning on taking care of that this week. I cannot wait to share it with you all.
Happy Tuesday everyone!
